our 16th International Rosa Luxemburg Conference in cooperation with the Rosa-Luxemburg-Foundation Berlin – will be held on Friday, 16st and Saturday, 17nd January 2009 in Berlin, Germany

* Dr. Evelin Wittich (Germany): The Response to Life and Work of Rosa Luxemburg in South-Africa and Latin America

* Recent findings on life and work of Rosa Luxemburg with lecturers from Brasilia, China, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russia, Switzerland, Germany (I. Loureiro, He Ping, Wang Xuedong, Zhang Wenhong, M. Kraetke, T. Storlokken, F. Tych, J. Drabkin, S. Kretinjin, A. Vatlin, J.-F- Fayet, A. Laschitza, J. Schuetrumpf, F. Wilde) Since the participation of students from Berlin high schools und universities is planned the schedule for lectures will be limited.

Costs: In principle everybody has to pay travel expenses and accommodation on his / her own. The organizer will give help for booking good value hotel rooms in the near of the venue if wished.
